With less than six weeks to go until its scheduled March 19, 2026, release, Dhurandhar 2 is still actively shooting scenes — a development that has surprised fans and sparked chatter online. Viral glimpses and eyewitness posts on platforms like Reddit reveal that a whole gully in Mumbai’s Ballard Estate has been transformed into Lyari, the notorious neighbourhood in Pakistan often featured in crime dramas.
Even though principal photography for Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge had already been largely completed and portions of the film were expected to be in post-production, the shoot continues with what industry watchers describe as patchwork scenes.
This late-stage filming — barely a month before release — has fuelled speculation that the makers are adding or refining sequences to make the film more impactful, especially after the massive success of the first instalment.
The Dhurandhar franchise — helmed by director Aditya Dhar and headlined by Ranveer Singh — has been one of Bollywood’s biggest hits. The first chapter, which premiered in December 2025, crossed major box-office milestones and also debuted on Netflix at the end of January, maintaining strong audience interest. The sequel will continue the espionage thriller narrative, with returning cast members including Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Rampal, who have been spotted shooting in full character on location.
The Reddit footage of the Ballard Estate set shows fans and background artists inside a cordoned-off street that has been meticulously dressed to resemble Lyari’s distinctive look — complete with thematic props and set design suggesting scenes involving gritty urban confrontations. One Redditor who snuck in described seeing stars like Sanjay Dutt on set, noting their presence even as cameras roll in the early evening.
