RTS Games on Sale on Steam for February 2026

There’s a varied selection of RTS games at discounted prices on Steam right now, with everything from historical epics to sci-fi spinoffs.

The RTS genre is synonymous with PC gaming history, and continues to thrive on the platform to this day. There is a wide variety of RTS games in all shapes and sizes. So the chances are you can not be into RTS games and eventually find one that works for you.

Could one be among this selection? Whether you’re curious about the genre or a veteran seeking out more RTS action, there’s a chance something might catch your eye.

Steam RTS Games on Sale – February 2026

First up, you can fight the future and battle Skynet in apocalyptic sci-fi RTS Terminator Dark Fate: Defiance. The 2024 strategy game is probably the best thing to come out of the last Terminator film’s existence, and the concept of a post-Judgement Day RTS had me salivating the second I heard about it. It’s currently 30% off, so you can say hasta la vista to £23.45 and get a good Terminator game in exchange.

Keeping it sci-fi, SunAge: Battle for Elysium captures the old-school look of RTS classics as three distinct races do battle in a narrative-driven set of campaigns. It’s currently 60% off, meaning you can get it for under a fiver.

If you’re into something from early human history, Ancient Wars: Sparta Definitive Edition brings a classic RTS up to snuff for modern PCs, allowing you to wage war as Spartans, Persians, Romans, and more for only £10.19 or bundled with Medieval Crusades for £15.28.

Keeping it historic, Stronghold Crusader 2 Special Edition is only £2.99, and you can get it bundled with the HD version of the first game and the trimmings for a tenner. Mongol-flavored Stronghold: Warlords is also £2.99.

If sci-fi and historical fantasy aren’t your bag, how about some dry, frightening nuclear conflict simulation? Bit Mirror’s self-explanatory Nuclear War Simulator, and SoftWarWare’s no-nonsense ICBM both give you the cold, hard task of delivering a ‘‘successful’’ nuclear war.

That’s plenty of RTS variety at low prices. Still only the tip of the strategy iceberg, but you can only be consumed by the obsession so much, right?
