Ranbir Kapoor has offered a rare, direct look into his packed slate, confirming that Ramayana is locked as his next theatrical release and will arrive in cinemas during Diwali. The actor shared the update while going live on Instagram as he marked the anniversary of his lifestyle brand, Arks, using the interaction to address fan questions and clear the air around multiple high profile projects.
With his lineup spanning large scale franchises and filmmaker driven tentpoles, Ranbir also acknowledged that his films often take longer to mount, adding that the extended timelines are tied to scale and vision.
Ramayana Release Date Confirmed For Diwali
During the Instagram Live, Ranbir confirmed that Ramayana is his next release and reiterated that it is slated for a Diwali theatrical window. The confirmation is significant, considering the film’s scale and the expectations surrounding Ranbir’s return to big screen spectacle after his recent run of ambitious projects.
The Diwali corridor has historically been prime real estate for Hindi cinema, and Ramayana entering that festive frame signals a major studio push, with the actor positioning it as the immediate priority before anything else hits screens.
Love And War Postponed, To Release After Ramayana
Ranbir also confirmed a key scheduling change around Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, which stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal alongside him. While the film had earlier been expected to release in August, Ranbir clarified that Love & War will now release after Ramayana.

The update effectively resets expectations for Bhansali’s much awaited collaboration with Ranbir, and places the film in a later window following the Diwali launch of Ramayana. The shift also highlights how Ranbir’s calendar is being shaped by the sheer scale of production demands across his upcoming titles.
Brahmastra 2 To Begin Sooner Than Expected
