The production committee confirmed the schedule change in a notice published on Feb 12, 2026, stating that the delay was made to further improve the overall quality of the series.

In addition to the delay, the committee announced the launch of a new initiative titled “Roshidere Project 2026” (tentative title). Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian Production Committee
Season 1 of the anime produced by Doga Kobo aired from July to September 2024.
Season 2 will see a change in director, with Hiroshi Haraguchi, who helmed episode 4 of the first season, taking over the role from Ryota Itoh. Yuka Yamada, who previously wrote the script for episode 6, will now oversee the series composition, replacing Itoh. Yuhei Murota will return to design the characters.
Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings In Russian anime is based on a Japanese light novel of the same name, written by SunSunSun and illustrated by Momoco.
It was originally published online as two short stories on the novel publishing website Shosetsuka ni Naro on May 6 and 27, 2020, respectively, before being acquired by Kadokawa Shoten, who have published the series since February 2021 under their Sneaker Bunko imprint.
