The months continue to fly by – how are we into August already? However, a new month means new Anime Limited pre-orders, and we know you won’t be able to keep your hands off what we have in store for you!

First though, a reminder for you cinema-going folks that our season of Mamoru Hosoda films continues with Summer Wars now in select cinemas, with Wolf Children hot on its heels – don’t forget to book tickets at WorldOfHosoda.com.
Or, for something very different, tickets are now on sale to the smash hit COLORFUL STAGE! The Movie: A Miku Who Can’t Sing – it’s a must-see for Miku and Vocaloid fans, so be sure to book your tickets here.
Now, let’s return to our regularly scheduled pre-order reveals!
Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! Collector’s Edition
We start the month with one very special project we’ve been beavering away on for a while now, and finally it’s ready to reveal to the world! The easy, breezy types that we are, we’re all huge fans of Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken here in the office, and so ever since we nabbed the rights to release the series on home video in the UK we were determined to do something special, and here’s the result…

“What’s in the boooooox?” we hear you cry! We’ll get to that in just a moment, but first here’s a synopsis in case you’ve missed out on this terrific series before:
“Midori Asakusa is obsessed with animation, but while she spends hours doodling and coming up with amazing ideas, she knows that it’ll be difficult to produce animated films on her own. Fortunately, Sayaka Kanamori is more into planning and finances, and she’s been thinking of ways to turn Midori’s ideas into something practical and profitable. That’s what friends are for, right? Still, for all their hopes and wishes, their future as the next animation wunderkinds is looking rather sketchy… until they meet Tsubame Mizusaki, who daydreams about becoming an animator, even though her parents have forbidden her from joining their school’s anime club. Solution: form a new club focused on “motion pictures” and let the creativity flow! It won’t always be easy, but once everyone’s in “toon” together, who knows what might happen!”
Now, let’s delve into that big ol’ box…

We should probably begin with our starting point for our plans here, which was a deep love for the original Japanese Blu-ray box set and everything contained within us, which in turn brought about a deep desire to replicate it as closely as possible. So that’s what we did! The box in question is a shoebox style, with dimensions of approximately 18.3 x 14 x 10cm if you’re curious.
But where to start on the contents of this fittingly comprehensive release? Maybe it should be the double-sided A3 poster? Or maybe the fact that one double-sided poster wasn’t enough, and so we added in a second A3 poster for good measure?
Maybe it’s the 132-page storyboard book taking you through the storyboards for both the first episode of series and its iconic opening credits?
Maybe we should start by talking about the fact that one book wasn’t enough, and how we added an additional 60-page production book packed to the gills (if books had gills, anyway) with information and designs for the characters and the contents of every single episode, topped off with an interview with director Masaaki Yuasa?
We could start with the set of four art cards included in the release, but then again maybe we should talk about the most audacious addition of all, a replica milk bottle from the series so that you can enjoy your very-own refreshing post-bath drink. *
*Milk not included
Or, we could talk about the inclusion of the entire series across two Blu-ray discs, stored within an Amaray case… although we’d hope that part is a given.
Anyway, this a release we’re incredibly proud of, and fully deserving of a show that excels in putting across the beauty, hard and work and ingenious creativity of the animation business in a fun package, and (in spite of what the title might suggest) we can’t wait for you to get your hands on it. Pre-orders open on Thursday 7th of August, so prepare yourselves – given the price point of this release we’ll be running a longer Early Bird period to give you more time to get your order in prior to its November release.
Of course, if you’d rather keep things simple, then the series will also be available on Standard Edition Blu-ray for your enjoyment too!

Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution: Eureka Collector’s Edition
After a longer than intended wait (and with apologies to all of you kept waiting), this month also finally brings us to the end of the Eureka Seven Hi-Evolution film trilogy, allowing you to complete your collection of this fascinating reimagining of the world and goings-on of Eureka Seven.
“Eureka has lived alone in atonement for ten years, hated by the world and blamed for the chaos that destroyed everything. In a fateful encounter, she receives an order to protect Iris, a new “Eureka,” who has the ability to produce Scab Corals. It’s a fateful meeting between the former Eureka, who has lost her powers, and Iris, who fears her powers. When Eureka is asked to put her life on the line as a new crisis arises, will Eureka have the strength to protect Iris and the world? What future awaits her at the end of her journey?”

With outer packaging in keeping with the release of the first two films, inside that sleek rigid slipcase you’ll find a poster as well as a series of four art cards, plus of course the film on Blu-ray stored safely within an Amaray case.
Needless to say, we’re also bringing this release to Standard Edition Blu-ray as well.

BLEACH Part 8
You know the deal with this one, as we continue to bring you monthly release of the original series of BLEACH to fill that second beautiful Collector’s Edition box. This month, Part 8 pops up for pre-order prior to its early October release.
“The battle against the Arrancars continues. Just as Ichigo is on the verge of death, Kenpachi Zaraki steps in and takes over the fight with the Espada Tesla. And Byakuya clashes with Zommari Rureaux, the fastest of the Espadas, who is trying to finish off an injured Rukia. Will his Bankai be enough to defeat Zommari when he uses Rukia’s body as a shield?”

In keeping with the first print run of previous volumes, this initial run features three bonus art cards while stock lasts. Beyond that, Part 8 contains episodes 196-223 of the series across four Blu-ray discs, contained within an Amaray case that itself features an O-card.
Pre-orders open on Tuesday August 19th, so be there to keep on filling that box!

The Case Files of Jeweler Richard Collector’s Edition
Next up in our August pre-order list is this hidden gem (gem… jeweller… do you see what we did there?) – a tale of love and mystery, what’s not to like? What’s more, we’re distributing the title in both the UK and US!
“One night, a college student with a strong sense of justice, Seigi Nakata, saved a gorgeous foreigner, Richard, who was being harassed by some drunks.
When Seigi found out that Richard was a jeweler, he asked for an appraisal on a ring with a shady history; one which his grandmother had kept secret until she died. The appraisal had revealed her past, truth, and desire.
It led Seigi to work as a part-time employee for Richard’s jewelry store, the “Jewelry Etranger” in Ginza.
While solving various “mysteries”, the relationship between Richard and Seigi gradually changes.”

While we couldn’t run to including some jewellery in this release, our Collector’s Edition does contain an A3 poster and a series of four art cards, all housed within a rigid slipcase alongside the Amaray containing the series across two Blu-ray discs.
You can check out both sides of the rigid case below:

Of course, the series is also available on Standard Edition Blu-ray if you prefer!

Black Bullet Collector’s Edition
Sometimes a series crops up on our radar that, quite simply, we have a bit of a soft spot for (anyone remember the Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax video games?), and this is one of them that we’re very happy to bring back to the UK in Collector’s Edition form!
“It’s been 10 years since mankind was nearly wiped out by a parasitic virus known as Gastrea. With the survivors of war-torn Japan now forced to live within a protective barrier of monoliths, the Gastrea threat is diminished but still present. When a Gastrea does rear its ugly head, it’s up to the government employed Civil Security agents to take them down. Enter Promoter Rentaro Satomi and his Initiator, Enju Aihara, as they battle this growing threat that may soon overtake humanity once again.”

This new edition features the series across two Blu-ray discs within an Amaray case, an A3 poster, and as a piece de resistance a 36-page booklet chock full of artwork from the series.
You can check out both sides of the rigid case below – how awesome does this look in all its glory?

Once again, a Standard Edition Blu-ray is also available for pre-order.
