In summary
- Half the Pixel range could be delayed
- Could arrive as late as 9 October
- Supply chain issues cited
Google is reportedly having issues with the production of its new batch of smart devices, which could lead to a delay for several models.
According to German website Winfuture, the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Pixel Watch 4, and Pixel Buds 2a will all be delayed. They will be announced alongside the rest of the Google Pixel 10 range on 20 August, but won’t actually ship until some time later.
Supposedly “well informed sources” have revealed that supply chain problems are plaguing the new Pixel launch. This will apparently result in the three aforementioned devices hitting shops on 9 October.
The Google Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL are all expected to be in shops on 28 August, while the other three models will arrive six weeks later.

How big a delay is it really?
Of course, some of last year’s Pixel models also arrived a little later than the rest. The Pixel Watch 3 and Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold both hit shops in early September, a couple of weeks after the Pixel 9.
As such, the delay for these new devices isn’t as pronounced as it seems. The report claims that it actually works out to around two weeks.
Perhaps a delay was to be expected, as we’re expecting the Pixel Fold 10 Pro to represent quite an advance over its predecessor. It’s predicted to have a new display and a new hinge system, as well as format-first features like an IP68-rated construction and Qi2 compatibility.
We’re less sure of why the Pixel Watch 4 and the Pixel Buds 2a would need to be delayed. Presumably we’ll have a better idea come the 20 August Made by Google event.
