There’s no doubt about the global impact of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s Art of Living across the world, where its spiritual teachings and practices have benefited millions across the world, along with doing great service for the public. Along with being a target of Hinduphobes, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has often defended the Hindu side. So it’s very surprising or even shocking that he’s gone full attack on Sadhguru, whose impact globally is phenomenal and bringing more people into Hindu practices and thought. This is why he’s also the target of Hinduphobic Nazis who see Hinduism as the biggest threat to the world.
But this is where it all goes pear-shaped with a video put out by some Sadhguru followers showing some really mocking attacks by Sri Sri on Sadhguru. At first, we thought it must be AI, but nope, it’s all real.
Ok, having critiques on each other is normal, as Hinduism allows criticism to open up debate from all sides, which is what makes Hinduism the ultimate multi-spiritual path for not only Hindus but the rest of the world also, which both these gurus are helping to expand across the globe.
However, the attacks Sri Sri is making on Sadhguru do come across as very petty, and, as some say, a form of jealous behaviour, especially attacking Sadhguru’s building of the giant Adiyogi Shiva dieties, which are mesmerising people across the world.
You would think, ok, if there are some deep differences, then keep it private to communicate with each other to sort it out, instead of giving all the ammo to the Hinduphobes who are going to use this to their advantage, like they often do, rubbing their hands with evil grins.
To our experience over the years, this problem seems to be rooted in the Hindu Messiah Saviour Complex, which reflects across many Hindus we have seen from Gurus, Hindu temple leaders, online Hindu social media influencers, and intellectual kashtriyas and Hindu organisations.
Like for example General intellectual kashtriya Rajiv Malhotra is doing great work, and his books should be read, but again it all becomes about his claims on how he was the first doing all the intellectual work against the anti Hindus with hardly any mention of Sita Ram Goel or Ram Swarup or Dr Koenraad Elst or Vamadev Shastri and many others long before he did. He claimed he coined Hinduphobia. Well, if he was around before the 1860s, then it might be true, as that’s when the term Hinduphobia was coined around those years.
But he’s not alone in this mindset as we see this everywhere among most popular Hindu activists we’ve come across who maybe be doing good work for the Hindu cause but they hardly work together on a clear joint strategy because they always want to be the one and only Avatar who is saving Hinduism to be then cheered by their fans and others to be presented with flower garlands.
When one digs deep into why they behave like that, then all you see is a massive collective inferiority complex that most Indians and especially Hindus, suffer from.
It’s something we also experienced from the day we became active, when we were awarded the leper colony award by most Hindu orgs and activists, especially the ones connected with the clown outfit, the RSS. An Indian media lady from a Kashmiri Hindu background had told us how she argued with some ‘Hindu leaders’ bashing us, and she mentioned to them that they have brought the human rights of KPs and other Hindus into the mainstream, and all you are doing is attacking them because you failed yourself.
What Hindus don’t see is that they have more than enough wealth, resources and people where even if they used less than one per cent of it, they could set up professional think tanks, professional academia better than the Harvards, or the Yales or Oxfords or Cambridge and others that push Hinduphobia, along with setting up professional media better than the BBC, Al Jazeera and other media and to have total influence politically across the globe exposing the anti hindu networks.
But again, what stops this from happening is the same ego rivalry among hindu activists which we are seeing with these attacks on Sadhguru by Sri Sri, even putting out paid Ads, where instead of working together stragically to expand the Hindu cause which the world also needs, the ego becomes more important than the Hindu cause itself, ironically, something Hinduism speaks out against with its great epics like the Ramayana or the Mahabharata all the time.
