Lucid Air Gains Tesla Supercharger Access and New 2026 Upgrades

Starting July 31, 2025, all Lucid Air models will be able to use Tesla’s Supercharger network via a Lucid-approved adapter. Lucid will sell a DC NACS-to-CCS adapter for about $220 so any Air model to plug into compatible V3+ Tesla Superchargers. Even with the adapter’s 50 kW limit, an Air can still gain roughly 200 miles of range per hour of charging. Charging sessions can be initiated through the Lucid mobile app with a saved credit card, giving Air owners many more fast‐charging options for long trips.

The 2026 Air’s EPA range has also been boosted. The mid-range Air Touring now achieves an estimated 431 miles per charge – over 6% more than before – while the flagship Air Grand Touring still delivers up to 512 miles on a single charge. These numbers keep Lucid’s sedan among the longest-range EVs available. Lucid credits new high-density battery cells for the Touring’s gain, and the Air Touring can still DC fast-charge at up to 250 kW for quick top-ups.

Along with charging and range gains, every 2026 Air adds convenience features. A 40-amp mobile charging cable kit is now standard, complete with a 240 V (40 A, ~9.6 kW) adapter for about 40 miles of range per hour, and a 120 V (12 A, ~1.4 kW) adapter for about 4 miles per hour of trickle charging. An optional ā€œRangeXchangeā€ adapter enables vehicle-to-vehicle charging will be available. All models also get an upgraded air-conditioning compressor from Lucid’s Gravity SUV, which improves cooling performance and makes the cabin noticeably quieter.

New design and comfort options arrive as well. Lucid introduced a 19-inch ā€œAeronautā€ wheel in Platinum or Stealth finish as an option on the Pure, Touring, and Grand Touring models. Inside, the Pure trim now includes a rear center-console touchscreen display and extra storage. In the Grand Touring, the front seats are now 20-way power-adjustable with heating, ventilation, and massage as standard equipment.

Finally, the 2026 updates come with additional pricing. The Lucid Air Pure pricing now starts around $72,400, an additional of $1,000 than before, the Air Touring is at $81,400 an additional of $1,000, and the Grand Touring at $116,400 additional of $4,000. The range-topping Air Sapphire with 1,234-hp triple-motor remains at $250,500 with no increase. As Lucid emphasizes, these enhancements will provide wider charging access and longer range to upgraded comfort featuresĀ  keeping the Air ā€œeven more compellingā€ and at the forefront of EV range and efficiency.
