If there’s one thing Jujutsu Kaisen’s Gojo is known for, it’s his unreasonable power. Virtually indestructible, ridiculously strong on a physical level, and with a vast reserve of devastating cursed energy attacks, Gojo is so strong that the series’ villains have to concoct an entire plan to remove him from the board.
Yet, despite Gojo’s apparent strength, Netflix just crowned another anime hero to be the strongest and claimed that anyone who disagrees is delusional.
Netflix Crowns Their Strongest Anime Hero, And It’s Bound To Be Controversial
In a post to the official Netflix Brazil X account, the streaming giant said that none other than Dragon Ball’s Goku is anime’s strongest hero.
Goku is by far the strongest character in anime.
Anyone who disagrees is just clueless.
Of course, anime fans replying to the post had a wide variety of reactions. Quite humorously, X user @kaianxd2 quipped that not only is Goku not the strongest anime character, but he isn’t even the strongest Dragon Ball character.
So, that naturally begs the question, is Goku the strongest anime character?
Goku Is Ridiculously Strong… But Calling Him The Strongest Is Questionable
Goku undeniably ranks among the strongest anime characters and is almost certainly stronger than other fan favorite characters like Satoru Gojo.
With his Perfected Ultra Instinct form, Goku can dodge attacks on instinct, tank the few hard-hitting blows that do come his way, and can deliver one heck of a counter-punch. Even outside of Ultra-Instinct, Super Saiyan Goku can essentially teleport at will and can fly at ridiculously high speeds, giving him an edge over many anime characters.
Still, that being said, Goku is far from the strongest anime character.
Goku Isn’t a Threat To Reality Like Many Of Anime’s True Strongest Characters
To truly rank among the most powerful characters in anime history, one has to be able to warp reality itself.
Characters as diverse as the title heroine of Haruhi Suzumiya, One Piece’s Luffy, and even Dragon Ball’s own Grand Zeno all can bend the very laws of physics to their whims, which is a level of strength that Goku and Gojo can simply never get close to.
While Netflix may have chosen Dragon Ball’s Goku as their strongest anime character over Jujutsu Kaisen’s Gojo, the truth is that neither truly deserve the title of strongest anime character.
