Despite having launched four smartphones in 2025 so far, Nothing is rumoured to be weighing up the launch of an all new Lite handset.
Tipster Yogesh Brar has taken to X to claim that Nothing is looking to add a ‘Lite’ or ’T’ phone to its roster.
According to Brar, it would seem that Nothing is disappointed with the reception of its “Pro models”. We’re a little confused by this, as the only ‘Pro’ phone in Nothing’s range is the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, which is a mid-ranger that isn’t actually all that Pro, in traditional terms.
Besides which, there’s already a Nothing Phone (3a) that undercuts the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, not to mention the CMF Phone 2 Pro.
Nothing Phone (3) Lite?
We’d suggest that the tipster is instead saying that the Nothing Phone (3) – arguably the brand’s first true flagship phone – isn’t performing as well as it would like.
Taken in that light, a prospective Nothing Phone (3) Lite or Nothing Phone (3T) would represent a more affordable almost-flagship. In that sense it could be more in keeping with the Nothing Phone (2) which arrived in 2023 at a starting price of £579.
That phone gave us a combination of flagship and mid-range specs, and ultimately felt like a very capable mid-range phone. Perhaps Nothing is looking to recapture that portion of the market.

Nothing could be at a crossroads
The original post is frustratingly light on specifics, so we can only speculate at this point.
All we can say for now is that the Nothing Phone (3) is “the most exciting flagship phone in years”, though it falls short of the similarly priced Google Pixel 9 and the Samsung Galaxy S25 when you get down to practical matters.
You could argue that an Ultra model is as desirable as a Lite one, but we’ll see how things play out over the next year or so.
