The OnePlus 15 flagship smartphone could look very different to the OnePlus 13, if a new rumour proves to be accurate.
Serial tipster Digital Chat Station has been posting to Chinese social network Weibo again, this time with an intriguing claim about the follow-up to the OnePlus 13.
According to the leaker, the OnePlus 15 will abandon the brand’s large circular camera module, which you could argue has been a fixture on its flagship phones since the OnePlus 11.
In its place, the OnePlus 15 will apparently feature “a small square matrix in the upper left corner”. Regardless of the machine translation involved here, it seems clear that OnePlus is going small and square with its new camera design.
To that end, it seems likely that OnePlus is going to riff on the existing camera module design of the OnePlus 13T and the OnePlus 13s (pictured above), which shifted to a vaguely iPhone-esque squircle.

OnePlus
OnePlus 15 could be a different beast
Back in June we heard some slightly worrying things about the OnePlus 15 specification involving two potential downgrades.
One of those relates to the display, which will apparently only have a 1.5K resolution rather than the 4K screen of the OnePlus 13. It’ll also be completely flat, thus ditching the OnePlus 13’s curves, though whether that can be closed as a downgrade is questionable.
The other potential downgrade that we’re hearing about relates to the camera system, which may ditch the brand’s longstanding collaboration with Hasselblad.
We’re fans of the distinctive colour-pop and UI sophistication that this collaboration has brought to OnePlus’s more recent flagship phones, so it will be a shame if that’s set aside altogether.
