Paul McCartney Documentary ‘Man on the Run’ Finally Available on Amazon in 2026

2025 is a huge year for Beatles fans. A lot of new projects honoring the Fab Four have been announced lately, including the release of new Anthology documentaries and albums, and the star-studded cast of Sam Mendes’ upcoming biopics. And now, ahead of a highly anticipated premiere, it was announced that a new Paul McCartney documentary, Man on the Run, will find its way to fans very soon. The Hollywood Reporter just announced that Amazon MGM has picked up the project, which means that fans will be able to enjoy the documentary in just a few months.

The New Documentary Chronicles Paul McCartney’s Life After The Beatles

Beatles fans will be glad to know that Man on the Road will be released in theaters in February next year, now that Amazon MGM have picked up the project. Man on the Run is a new documentary directed by Morgan Neville about Paul McCartney’s life and career following The Beatles’ breakup, and it will premiere this weekend at the Telluride Film Festival. The name, as fans surely know, is an homage to Paul McCartney & Wings‘ greatest album, Band on the Run, and along with the release of the documentary, McCartney will also be putting out a book about his band, titled Wings: The Story of a Band on the Run.

Man on the Run will reportedly share previously unseen footage of Paul McCartney’s solo career in the 1970s, starting with The Beatles‘ breakup, his first solo albums, and, of course, the process of putting together a band with his wife Linda McCartney. While Wings never reached the same level of fame as The Beatles did, they were undoubtedly one of the most important bands of the ’70s.

“Neville had unprecedented access to previously unseen footage and rare archival materials to tell the story of McCartney’s transformative post-Beatles era through a uniquely vulnerable lens,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The documentary will reportedly be released on Prime Video on February 25 next year. Additionally, McCartney’s book will come out on November 4. With the release of the Anthology docuseries and albums in November as well, it’s safe to say that this winter will be very good for Beatles fans.
