Anurag Kashyap’s Kennedy is finally making its big push for Indian audiences, and the newly unveiled trailer puts the spotlight firmly on Rahul Bhat’s intense, sleep deprived cop at the centre of this gritty noir.
With the film set for its OTT release, Kennedy has quickly returned to the conversation, not just for its moody aesthetic and sharp tension, but also for the global attention it earned before coming home.
The trailer arrives at a crucial moment for the film, which has travelled widely on the festival circuit. Now, with a confirmed streaming date, Kashyap’s dark world and Bhat’s brooding presence are positioned to reach a much larger audience.
Kennedy Trailer Puts Rahul Bhat In The Spotlight
The trailer of Kennedy offers a tense glimpse into Kashyap’s signature universe, driven by shadowy visuals, moral ambiguity, and a sense of looming danger. Rahul Bhat leads as the titular character, an insomniac cop navigating a world that appears both corrupt and claustrophobic. Sunny Leone also features in a pivotal role, adding a striking presence to the narrative.
The official trailer sets up a story rooted in desperation and survival, with Bhat’s character seemingly chasing redemption while being pulled deeper into the dark. The film’s supporting cast includes Shariq Patel, Ranjan Singh, Kabir Ahuja, Bhumika Tewari, Neeraj Joshi, and Ashima Awasthi.
Cannes Standing Ovation And Festival Run Build Buzz
Kennedy had a high profile moment at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, where it was screened at The Grand Lumiere Theatre under the midnight screening section. The film received a seven minute standing ovation following the screening, a milestone that added to its international momentum.
Kashyap attended Cannes alongside frequent collaborator Vikramaditya Motwane and the film’s cast, marking the project as one of the director’s most talked about works in recent years.
Kennedy OTT Release Date And Platform Confirmed
After its festival acclaim, Kennedy is now officially set to stream in India on Zee5. The release date is locked for February 20, 2026, making it one of the major Hindi direct to OTT premieres of the month.
With the trailer now out, the stage is set for Kashyap’s noir to find a wider audience beyond film festivals, powered by Rahul Bhat’s central performance and the film’s stark, uncompromising tone.
