After ten years, Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, The Thing and Human Torch are set to return to the big screen, as the latest live-action of The Fantastic Four will hit cinemas worldwide this week.
This time around, the four superheroes are being introduced to the wide world of the MCU. In the new film, Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic will be portrayed by Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby will play Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Ebon Moss-Bachrach will appear as Ben Grimm/The Thing, and Joseph Quinn will star as Johnny Storm/Human Torch.
Additionally, Julia Garner will portray Shalla-Bal, more commonly known as the Silver Surfer.

When does The Fantastic Four: First Steps release?
The tale about the four superheroes will premiere in cinemas on Friday, 25 July 2025.
In the UK, you can book tickets on Vue, Showcase, Odeon or Cineworld.
In the States, you can guarantee your seat via AMC Theatres, Fandango and Atom Tickets websites.

When could The Fantastic Four: First Steps be released on VOD?
Disney hasn’t revealed when The Fantastic Four: First Steps will drop on digital platforms. However, previous films in MCU’s Phase Five hit VOD between 60 and 67 days after they opened in cinemas.
The box office results didn’t seem to affect this time. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and The Marvels were flops, and they debuted on VOD after 60 and 67 days, respectively. Conversely, the highly successful Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 dropped on digital 63 days after the cinematic release, while the smashing Deadpool and Wolverine needed 67 days. Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts* both became available for purchase and rental after 60 days.
If The Fantastic Four follows that trend, it may drop on digital in the UK and US between Tuesday, 23 September 2025 and 30 September 2025.
Note that this is a prediction, and we must wait for Disney to confirm it officially.
When could The Fantastic Four: First Steps be released on DVD/Blu-ray?
Physical copies of MCU flicks usually hit stores three to four weeks after the digital release. Deadpool and Wolverine arrived on DVD and Blu-ray 21 days after debuting on VOD services. Copies of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts* were available 28 days after digital launch.
Therefore, if the predicted dates above are correct, we expect that copies of The Fantastic Four: First Steps will appear in the US between Tuesday, 14 October 2025 and Tuesday, 28 October 2025.
In the United Kingdom, the new MCU film may be available on DVD and Blu-ray a few days after its US release.

When could The Fantastic Four: First Steps be released on streaming services?
As this is a Marvel film, The Fantastic Four will debut on Disney+ exclusively.
Quantumania and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 hit Disney+ just a day after physical copies arrived in stores. Captain America: Brave New World did so in 15 days. Deadpool and Wolverine, as well as The Marvels, became available for streaming three weeks after the DVD and Blu-ray release.
Therefore, The Fantastic Four may drop on Disney+ in the US and UK between Wednesday, 15 October 2025 and Tuesday, 18 November 2025. A good opportunity to launch film on Disney+ will be Halloween (30 October 2025) and Thanksgiving Day (27 November 2025).
