On Saturday, I travelled to Rotherhithe to watch Peckham Town defeat Bermondsey Town in an exciting five goal encounter.
One of the highlights of visiting that football ground is the delightful Thames-side walk back to Canada Water tube station.
As night started to descend, I grabbed these 10 photos:

Standing 309.6 metres (1,016 feet) high, the Shard is the tallest building in the UK, and the seventh-tallest building in Europe.

The architectural sprawl of the City of London now dwarfs the iconic Gherkin skyscraper.

To the right can be seen the Strata tower with its eye catching (and now totally non functional) turbine blades.

Tucked away by the river’s edge on the northern bank can be seen the Prospect of Whitby, which lays claim to being on the site of the oldest riverside tavern, dating from around 1520.
