Who would win in a fight, Adult Naruto or Hashirama?

In a theoretical clash between Adult Naruto (at his absolute peak) and Hashirama Senju, the battle represents the ultimate gap between the peak of traditional shinobi and the tier of modern ninja “gods.” While Hashirama is the legendary “God of Shinobi,” Adult Naruto scales into the realm of the Otsutsuki, making the power difference astronomical.

The Definitive Power Scaling

The most concrete evidence for Naruto’s superiority is narrative progression. During the Fourth Great Ninja War, Hashirama himself admitted that Ten-Tails Obito was stronger than him. By the time Naruto reached adulthood, he had already surpassed Ten-Tails Obito, Kaguya, and fused Otsutsuki level threats like Momoshiki

Even in his Base Form, Adult Naruto has been shown “swapping hands” with Fused Momoshiki—a character Kaguya herself feared. This places Naruto’s baseline stats (speed, durability, and reaction time) far above anything Hashirama displayed, even in Sage Mode.

The Baryon Mode Factor

If we include Baryon Mode, the fight becomes an absolute mismatch. Baryon Mode is a unique transformation that fuses Naruto’s and Kurama’s chakra to create a new form of energy, similar to nuclear fusion.

  • Speed: In this state, Naruto moved so fast that Isshiki Otsutsuki—who had previously toyed with both Naruto and Sasuke—could barely track his movements. Hashirama would likely be “blitzed” (attacked before he can react) instantly.
  • The “Lifespan Drain”: Every physical contact Naruto makes in Baryon Mode drains the opponent’s lifespan. While Hashirama has legendary regeneration, it cannot regenerate lost years of life. However, even without this “hax,” the raw physical pressure of Baryon Mode would likely shatter Hashirama’s wood constructs, including the True Several Thousand Hands statue, with pure brute force.

Combat Capabilities & Feats

  • Attack Potency: Naruto’s destructive capacity is on a planetary scale. His Lava Release: Rasenshuriken was capable of slicing the entire Divine Tree—a feat beyond anything in Hashirama’s arsenal. Even in his base form, Adult Naruto’s massive Rasengan was strong enough to kill Fused Momoshiki, an Otsutsuki-level threat.
  • Durability and Healing: Both possess legendary healing factors, but Naruto’s combined Uzumaki life force and Kurama’s regeneration are arguably superior. Naruto has tanked “moon-splitting” attacks in the movie The Last: Naruto the Movie, demonstrating a level of durability that far exceeds Hashirama’s demonstrated limits.
  • Speed and Reflexes: Naruto’s reaction speed is one of his greatest advantages. He has been shown reacting to and countering light-speed beams at point-blank range. Hashirama, while incredibly fast for his time, does not have any feats that place him in this speed tier.

Countering Hashirama’s “Anti-Bijuu” Hax

A common argument for Hashirama is his Wood Style, which is specialized for suppressing Tailed Beast chakra. Techniques like the Wood Dragon and the True Several Thousand Hands are designed to drain and overwhelm Tailed Beasts like Kurama.

However, Adult Naruto is not just a Jinchuriki; he is a Six Paths user. His SPSM allows him to hover, fly, and utilize Truth-Seeker Orbs (in earlier forms), which can neutralize all ninjutsu including Wood Style. Naruto’s speed also ensures he can stay out of range of Hashirama’s suppression techniques, and his ability to create thousands of shadow clones—each individually as strong as a Kage—would likely overwhelm even the legendary Buddha statue.

Hashirama’s Specialized Counters

Hashirama is the ultimate “anti-Bijuu” fighter. His Wood Style is specifically designed to suppress and absorb Tailed Beast chakra.

  • Wood Dragon: Can wrap around and drain the Nine-Tails.
  • Gracious Deity Gates: Capable of pinning down even the Ten-Tails.
  • Shinsu Senju: A massive statue that dwarfs Kurama and can overpower a Susanoo-clad Nine-Tails.

However, these techniques were built to fight the “wild” Nine-Tails or Madara’s armored version. They have never faced the Six Paths Sage Mode variant of Naruto, who can fly to avoid ground-based wood attacks and use Truth-Seeker Orbs to disintegrate any wood on contact.

Combat Feats Comparison

Feature

Hashirama Senju

Adult Naruto (Peak)

Max Destructive Feat

Shattered Madara’s Perfect Susanoo

Cut the Divine Tree in half; killed Fused Momoshiki

Durability

Instant regeneration without signs

Tanked moon-splitting attacks in The Last

Reaction Speed

Kept up with EMS Madara

Dodged light-speed beams and outpaced Isshiki

Conclusion

Hashirama Senju is a legend whose power defined an era, but Naruto Uzumaki is the savior of the world who received direct power from the Sage of Six Paths. Naruto’s speed in any of his advanced forms (SPSM or Baryon) is high enough to end the fight before Hashirama can weave a single hand sign for his larger wood constructs.

While Hashirama might outlast a standard opponent through regeneration, Naruto’s Rasenshuriken attacks cells at a molecular level, potentially negating Hashirama’s healing factor entirely. Naruto wins with “low-to-mid” difficulty in Six Paths Sage Mode, and with “zero” difficulty in Baryon Mode.
